It goes beyond the basics on their care and feeding. I haven't had my veiled chameleon long and I any question I have had about them I have found the answer in this book. Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. Good info on the natural history and brief, but pertinent info on basic requirements for a few different chameleons. Not a bad read for someone just thinking about keeping them as pets. This is a great guide for people who want to know more about the original climate and environment of chameleons, as well as detailed breeding information. This is NOT a beginner book.

There is good beginner info in it, insofar as ideas for setups and handling; however, it is presented with much more advanced information that is better suited to those looking for breeding information. That said, it is a great guide and a very interesting read! I just love chameleons! Very informative. Answered all my questions on owning one.
